Whats Bad - The Traffic - sorry, I know it's been said already but if we could get that wretched by-pass sorted, HG 'village' could really soar!

Whats Good - Local services such as GP's, chemists, hospital, train station, bus services, pubs, a night club, several good supermarkets, a wealth of clubs & organisations to cater to everyone's hobbies etc, a wide selection of churches with associated activities, good schools.HG is short of very little really.

Whats Good - The park is brilliant. New benches, toddler play area makes much more sense, river has been cleared, hardly any litter. The secret garden is gorgeous. The park staff are really friendly. It's a pleasure to have this beautiful place in the middle of our community. Well done all those involved.
Whats Bad - When are we going to see our roads repaired????

I lived in Hazel Grove during years 1932 / 1963 as an Au Pair Girl near a very nice family : Mr and Mrs Eccles at 26 Darley road.
I lost their contact after a few years back to France.
I would now be very pleased to hear about them ; they had 2 kids David and John and an elder brother Bruce.
Any news about this family would be welcome.
thanks

Late 1962 and all year 1963 I was employed as "au pair girl" by a very nice family :
Mr and Mrs Eccles who lived 26 darley Road in Hazel Grove. Last time I saw Mrs Eccles was on the occasion of my wedding in 1967.
Then after a few months we lost contact.
Now that I am retired I have much more time and make a kind of return on my life.
I would very much like to receive some news from that family ; the two kids John and David are now men of about 50 I guess !! I hope Mr and Mrs Eccles are still alive and would be pleased to see them if at all possible as wel as the whole family.
Should anyone be able to give me some news, I would appreciate.
