Bottom Line
They want it in the wrong place at the wrong time for everyone except Sainsbury's
It should be sited 150 yards behind the store with a large carpark in between.
It should be built when the Stepping Hill Link is built, not before.
Their application fails to address Congestion, Air, Noise, and Light Pollution, Health and Safety for Pedestrians and Access problems for Emergency vehicles.
Their application contravenes at least EIGHT Policy Documents published by the MBC. Suggest you read DC/056579 Click Documents. Enjoy.
Incidentally, anyone can support or protest for or against this application on the Application Page but at 1p per litre saving in price, less than a cup of coffee on filling up, supporters would inflict yet more congestion and toxicity on Hazel Grove. Is it worth it? I don't think we can afford it.
Anyway, you would waste the saving while queueing through the traffic lights to get in and out.
