Iam unsure if I was shocked, upset or angry when I read the following post on Facebook regarding the newly opened Aldi store in Poynton.......It read.......

SNOOTY residents of a town popular with Premier League footballers have reacted with disgust to the opening of a 'lower class' Aldi store.

Snobbish locals in Poynton, Cheshire, are used to browsing the aisles of Waitrose rather than those of the budget German supermarket.

And some of the town's 14,000 residents took to the internet to voice their horror at the opening of the store last month.
Posting on a web forum one, by the name of PoyntonMan62, wrote: "I, for one, am insulted at the opening of the new Aldi store in Poynton. I thought we were making real progress as a community with the opening of Waitrose in 2012.

"However with the opening of Aldi I feel as though we are taking a step back into the lower class."

The article then continued stating.......The exalted writer continued to express his concerns that his town could be associated with other, lesser neighbourhoods.

They added: "Soon we will be associated with places such as Hazel Grove and other urban areas closer to Manchester.

I MUST SAY THAT I CHOSE TO LIVE IN HAZEL GROVE AND I CHOOSE TO REMAIN LIVING IN HAZEL GROVE......POYNTON HAS ITS FAIR SHARE OF ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOUR SO WAKE UP WHOM EVER WROTE THIS ARTICLE..........
