You admit that the new road will benefit you, but you want compensation for it? Your just like everyone else who wants easy money that they don't deserve.

IF (and only if) your property *actually* loses value (I highly doubt it will, you'll now be living on a quiet local road rather than a busy through route) then you may have a case for the difference in value when you come to sell it. Until then then you're just leeching money you don't deserve.

Do you go around looking for bumps in the pavement too? Easy claim.
