I too read this on another forum a few days ago but it came from somone who spoke to one of the rail crossing workers so I take that with a pinch of salt untill I see it in writing from the council or somone Abit more official!!
Can't see how it could be closed with residents on the other side of the crossing would have to go right round Poynton to head to Stockport and I can't see them being too happy whereas the few thst life on the a6 side would be chuffed as they'd have a private rd to themselves but they must be suffering at the moment since the roundels went in Poynton that everyone says has improved traffic yet norbury crossing is busier than ever as everyone uses the rat run to avoid Poynton town centrečśé
Glen, you have NO credibility. You bought a house on a major road, knowing full well that there was a good chance of another busy road being built on your already busy doorstep then claim that you are some sort of 'victim'.

The facts of the matter are that you 'chanced your arm' and got an already priced in discount due to its crap location. Now you think that the likes of me, a tax payer, should 'compensate' you for the fact that you were stupid enough to buy a house and ignore the checks? Hell, you already live on one of the busiest roads in the county, with little more than a pavements width from your front door to the road. Not like you live somewhere quiet and bought before this was in the pipeline is it?
