I know twistedbanana I often speak out of my bottom, can't be helped. But I still feel that there are lots of jobs out there to be had. Perhaps not in the field that you were looking in, which was probably quite a specialised area so you wouldn't have probably found that many. But for those less qualified than yourself there are jobs that are available and could be filled.

Yes the job centre isn't much good at finding you a job - it's part of the problem, because the people who work there are less enthusiastic than you are so at a time when your looking for a helping hand it makes job searching pretty hard and staying on the dole pretty easy. But like you have said you have to look for other ways to find work, because when all said and done if you want to work and are prepared to work there is work to be had. But whether it's the right work for you is another matter.
