Well like I said Robot, it might not be a shared space candidate but the point I'm making is that it needs a fairly substantial overhaul and that can be achieved if there's enough will, brains and dedication but it's a huge job and there's not many who would be willing to take it on.

I agree with your points re: outdoor and family orientated business. Mind, I thought that the caravan/motorhome business should have done OK in the old Saab garage but it didn't :-( Good luck to the bike enterprise though :-)

The big players will always attract a no vote. But big players also bring in the customers. Boots, WH Smith etc would increase footfall massively in the Grove but they won't come here as things stand at the moment. Yes, the full HG bypass would almost certainly solve a squillion problems but it ain't happening in our lifetime, so what can we do now? And it's that question I'm attempting to aggitate now!
