To be fair there are already lights there for the bus terminal, only difference is that there will now be a big car park there too which will also be feeding the lights.

The lights for the bus terminal are on the A523, there is a new traffic light controlled entrance proposed near the petrol station on the A6 - Buxton Road.

Wow that looks real smart, which clever person has thought of putting anouther set of lights on the a6, by the looks of it right next to the petrol station, wonder if that means they're gonna knock that burnt out house down right next to bridge?
What a big waste of money, I know the carpark near the train station get packed and this would be good for parking but its a fair walk in the morning to the station from there and ehy would you drive that far to get on a bus when it's so much comfortable and easier in your own car?
Should have built a tescos on there, it's the only big supermarket were missing now!
Seriously though does this council not think we have enough lights on the a6, didn't hazel grove have the most pubs in a square mile at one time or something, now it's traffic lights!

Ah, i didn't see that!

I wonder if they will have induction loops or just be timed? If its the former they probably won't cause too much of a problem, timed could be a right pain in the bum!

I can't help but wonder who will want to park there. And who they are actually aiming the new scheme at.

I do like the idea of taking some of the traffic away from the A6 but I'm not to sure how the powers to be think that this plan will actually work. I just can't see anyone wanting to leave there car there and jump on a bus to where, even a free bus.

I can't help but wonder if its not just a way of introducing a new bus depo to replace the old one at Stockport.
