Thanks for the information but I'm not sure were you mean.
Do you mean that these offices and homes are being built on the land that was once Mirrlees golf course?
What about the offices they built nearly two years ago and remain empty.
How to the council propose Bramhall Moor Lane will cope with the extra traffic?
From what i can see, and bear in mind it's second hand information. The plans are to knock down the now empty factory and build over the site. The ex-golf course will remain (as i understand it they wouldn't be given planning to build over that)
The empty units are nothing to do with Man Diesel, the land was sold to a developer who built the units, I suspect the fact they are still empty (and probably will stay empty) is no great loss to the developer as it will serve as a nice little tax write off.
With regards to the traffic, the council has nothing to do with it as yet as it's a private development it is up to MAN to propose solutions which i am told they have. I don't entirely understand it all but apparently they have had a in depth traffic survey done and used the figures to show what effect their development should have and as it's mostly homes which won't have an adverse effect (since people don't then to come and go throughout the day).
I'm sceptical myself but as i said so were my parents and their neighbours until they went to view the plans.
