Referrals (FOA Webmaster)

I beleive you could get this forum thriving with the right publicity.
It would be nice to have a fast moving environment with lots of topics etc. (Although in the long term it may need a move to a phpbb format, which may not be viable).
Can we have some kind of refer a friend option on the forum which would send an e-mail from a @hazel-grove.co.uk address inviting them to join?

Yes OK we will look into an invite function.

As for the thriving part, the activity seems to come in spurts with it being quiet for a while then very active. It also seems that a lot of people read without posting. Getting more people to post then is the problem!

That would be great if you could. I feel it would be nice to create a bigger online community, obviously with more members comes a bigger representation of the area and the views they have.

It would also be nice for the people who are in business or are generally "known" in the Grove to reccomend the site to other people. Sundave makes a great contribution and it would be nice to get other users like him on here.
I only found out its existance from google.

Like any forum it has its up and downs, and appreciated that I am new on here there are only a handful of people that regularly contributing to the forum - the point I am trying to raise is that there are hundreds of people from Hazel Grove that must spend at least an hour per day on the internet and I am sure if they were fully aware of the purpose or even the existance of the forum they would also become involved.

I was by no means making any attempt to criticise the running/management of the site, merely hoping to make it stronger.
