You know, we've taken this thread in a totally obscure direction. We could be accused of foul play......

How long should a turkey last in a freezer?

I'd give it about 30 minutes but you could extend life expectancy a little longer if you open the door a couple of times and chuck a handful of grain in.

Damm, you listen to Wagg and O'Neill on Sunday's!

Meanwhile, back to the thread ....... DO we as HG residents have a say in this piece of "art"?

I saw it on a leaflet at a friend's house. It said something about info being on display in Sainsbury's.

there is to be a display at Sainsbury`s by the artist
it is a series of Hazel branches all in line so when viewed from the bus stop it looks like a Hazel tree. It is very nice actually.
Anyone seen the sqirrel at Torky Park yet.

why dont we get sainsburys' to make a sculpture that is an amalgamation of all the old traditional style pubs in hazel grove, then in a few years time people will be reminded of what they used to enjoy doing before supermarkets started selling alcohol for less than they paid for it (dispute it if you like but the proof is in print in the licensed trade press and verified by the government) in order to get you to go inside and buy other things! is this their idea of "responsible drinking", or are the rest of the goods they sell so bad they need this gimmick to get you there in the first place, i personally dont think so, i like shopping in big stores its more convenient, so why be greedy! why not sell your alcohol for a realistic price and give us local taverns a level playing field and allow us to earn a living. as for your sculpture, personally i think if youve got some money to spare send some of our youngsters off on a holiday somewhere then maybe you may get something out of it in the future thats positive.
