The new proposed Haddon development.

The new proposed Haddon development has caused great concern within the village.

The main point of objection seems to be the bus lane which would kill access to the south of Peterborough via the A15.

What do you think about this development and what if anything should the parish council be working on to adapt the proposals for our needs or get them thrown out?

I do hope that PCC take note of not only the residents views but also HDC's concerns regarding this proposed development.

Unfortunateley with all the will in the world these proposals will not be thrown out or dumbed down. Sooner or later whether we like it or not we will become a township of Peterborough. You only have to look at the plans for 27 properties being planned for behind 16-18 Broadway which are actually situated in Peterborough. Once built the residents of the properties will be using the village facilities, schools, doctors etc whilst making no financial contribution to them as they will be paying council tax etc to PCC.

But can anything be done?

Is there not some method of appeal or some group of residents that can be formed?

The Ferndale residents group seem to be very strong and vocal about a number of issues... is it not time for this organisation to envelop the whole of Yaxley and not just one estate?

Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for starting this forum, no idea what happened to the other one??

One question though, what is the Ferndale residents group, how do we get in touch with them?

Hi,

I assume Jimmy maybe referring to the group that was set up with regards to the Queens Park development?

If I am wrong in my assumption please let us know Jimmy.

Thanks

I did indeed, apologies I assumed the residents group was formed for wider issues.

Jimmy, What is it the 'Ferndale residents group' can do that the Parish Council isn't? doing. Not trying to be clever but can I assume your view is the Parish Council is failing and the residents need to be more proactive?

I'd be interested in the residents view too.

Regards, T
