Fiveways - Hazel Grove. Rating: 10/10
Review for The Fiveways
By JDSUP4IT on 2nd December 2013

Been in twice. Very impressed. Great decor - very attentive and friendly staff - Good selection of beers (Holts bitter excellent) - Not had a meal there yet, but will be calling in on Thursday to do the carvery some justice. I've heard many favourable comments from people in the area saying how much they enjoyed the 'Fiveways Experience' I highly recommend this new family pub, and wish the management every success for the future. I will most definitely be calling in ...

Review for McDonald’s
By TwistedBanana on 12th November 2013

As no one seems to have reviewed this yet I thought I would be the first. I tried this place recently and I can't understand why it isn't better known as I think they are really on to something that with the right marketing could go global. Where to start? Even on entry there is a real buzz about the place, a lively environment embracing the best in British/American culture. Then there is the unique queuing system that allows you choose a checkout based on star rated staf...

Review for Hazel Grove
By Chris A. on 6th January 2011

Just been on the "whats bad about Hazel Grove " & all I can say is that if you don't like it, please feel free to go and live somewhere else, you were probably not a Grover in the first place therefore you have no right to complain!

Review for Hazel Grove
By The J. on 14th June 2006

Hazel Grove is a large suburban area of Stockport, South East Manchester with a considerable amount of industry. The town initially developed as a stop point on the A6 route from London to Carlisle for travellers to stay over in one of the many inns. Today, these inns have become the many pubs for which Hazel Grove is now most famous for. The Grove as it is affectionately known has grown up around this main thoroughfare and most of the shops and businesses can be found al...

The Nobin July 2014 Rating: 10/10
Review for Nobin
By RichT on 19th July 2014

I have frequently visited the Nobin since it opened a long long time ago, possibly about 1980. They always manage to accommodate large parties at short notice. Always very friendly and the quality of food is consistently very good. I've never had any cause to complain. I hope you agree and if you've not been yet then give it try.

Review for Simply Wok
By Helen M. on 15th February 2014

We regularly get takeaway from here and it's one of my favourites as the portions are large and the food is always really tasty, plus they do chicken and cheese rolls, which are delicious, but not served in many places. Prices are good for what you get. There are cheaper places, but I would say this is good value. Chicken chow mein, for example, comes as one tub of noodles and another tub of the topping - a lot of places just give you one tub combined. Plus they're nice th...

Review for George & Dragon
By Fi_nix on 25th August 2013

Called in for lunch today. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I liked them very much. The inside seemed OK. Didn't pay it too much attention as we sat in the beer garden in the sunshine. The beer garden looked a bit tired to be honest. The car park around it was strewn with litter too. Wouldn't take much to smarten it up and it would really help if they did. The food was pretty standard. Chips were good (always a tick in the box for me!). The curry was probably ...

Review for Huffy’s Cafebar and Restaurant
By Fi_nix on 26th March 2013

Just been for lunch with my young daughter - having a 'girl's day'. Never been in Huffys before but heard good things, so we gave it a try. The staff were attentive. The restaurant was really clean. The beer garden at the back looked fab and would be lovely on a warmer day than today! I had a brie baguette with chunky chips - lovely. Very fresh. My daughter had what was described as a chicken burger - it was actually a whole chicken breast, butter-flied, on a lovely fre...

Review for Hazeldines Butchers
By Guy I. on 15th March 2013

Not only do Hazeldines have top quality meat, that makes the usual supermarket offer look like junk. But they also do excellent buttys and amazing pies. And once the weather picks up and the BBQ gets dusted off there is nowhere better for your supplies.

Review for Hazel Grove Plumbing Supplies Ltd
By Belvoir on 17th August 2012

The lads who work un the shop are very helpfull. I had to get a part so that my husband could fix his Mums toilet.. I was advised that I did'nt need the full part but only a very small bit of it.. the guy even replaced the small bit onto the exsisting part and it only cost a fraction of what we thought we had to pay!! It was'nt a one off either!! I was 'sent' back the next day to get a pipe for said toilet that had corroded !!.anyway they were just as helpfull and very fr...

For the second time in 2 months, I walked out. I loved this chippy at first but I'm giving up on it now. Waited around for ages to be served (at the counter). Only one lady cooking and one young man serving. It was painfully slow. I'm happy to w...
