Local Dialect: 'Swannerthemminnit?' is a local word, used to inform others that the orator has had a similar experience. A recent interpretation has deciphered this phrase as 'It is one of them, isn't it?'. One can only marvel at the level of lingual dexterity displayed by these simple folk.

Local Dialect: Although a lot of South Stockport speak English, Reddish is unique in the fact that many of it's younger (And indeed, older) residents can speak like they have a mouth full of wasps. The phrase 'Ee-yar, yo' was coined here - spoken as a substitute to 'Excuse-me'.
