Hazel Grove Farmer banned from keeping sheep
A Hazel Grove man has been banned from keeping sheep and must sell his flock of 40 sheep from his Poynton field.

He was convicted of animal cruelty after one of his sheep was bitten by a dog and another 4 were found dead by the RSPCA. The man of Talbot Street, Hazel Grove, was also given a 12-month conditional discharge and must pay £2,092 costs.

RSPCA officer Lorna Campbell added after the hearing: “The main priority for us was the disqualification. Any lay person looking at the sheep would have known they needed veterinary care.”
