We have a page on the SEMMMS relief road scheme here, which combines all threads on this in one place.

You can also use this page to show your support or objection to the scheme, as well as follow any updates regarding it.

Are you aware of the residents' group PAULA? Perhaps you're already involved. These aliases can be useful but sometimes they get in the way!

You don't have to use an alias if you don't want to.

So the heavy quarry wagons that go through Hazel Grove on way to.....? can now go there via airport?!! Why?

The straightening of the A6 from "simpsons" to bp garage will result in a new junction & the narrowing of the road where the bungalows are?!! Why?

When you view the details on the video & the leaflet there is a junction at the Woodford end of the existing road, another 1 250yards away near the oil terminal & another one in a field off Chester Road. Why? If this is truly a relief road as it says then the junction at the end of the existing road (Woodford) is all that's needed - the other 2 junctions are a waste of money. They're nowhere near the planned development at aerospace.

What is the present fetish with putting traffic lights everywhere? If this is meant to be a relief road then the less lights the better - new road should go under existing roads. Money saved from the 2 unneeded junctions would pay for this. Loads of lights just means more stop/start & will therefore be no better than what's there now.

To do anything different is a waste of money.

The Portwood link needs building as does the Poynton by-pass far more than the SEMMS links.
