Lib Dems pushing M60 to A6 "part 2" please share!

Stockport Liberal Democrats along with the Conservatives have become very vocal about their wish to push ahead with the M60 to A6 By-pass, they're putting the case forward to Government Minister Danny Alexander to give the go ahead for this section of the SEMMMS relief road. Stockport already has enough pollution, residents enough traffic noise, little green space remaining, and this will only make congestion worse funnelling traffic direct to Airport city from Bredburys Junction 25!

I completely agree! Scrap the full by-pass and just let all the traffic continue to plough down the A6! Keep the pollution in the village where it belongs!

Seriously, god only knows what kind of mess you by-pass opposer's would like to see.

Lets hope we do get it like that with at least a degree of grade seperated junctions, rather than the half hearted effort for part 1

Are you for real, that section is probably the most needed part of rd to make the other section work and will make a big difference to that whole side of Stockport, bredbury will be a nicer place to drive through along with marple offerton hazel grove etc.
The current section which is most likely to be approved in Oct will be useless in my opinion without that half, although I wouldn't worry too much as the cost of building that section will mean it will no doubt never go ahead?
