Hi clr Hogg thanks for replying, would those affected by the possible bypass be contacted in the near future about impact, compensation etc and also how will we find out about possible meetings where we can voice our opinions or oppose this?

(nicked from Nedsram with thanks):-

"For those who can't remember the route, it crosses the railway line next to Bramhall Golf Course, then crosses Woodford Road just past the bend after the railway bridge, passes north of Park House Farm, then between Mill Hill Hollow and Barlowfold. It then crosses Norbury Brook and runs parallel to its northern bank as far as Simpson's Corner. It would appear that Brookside Garden Centre will lose their car park. The old water mill at the end of Old Mill Lane also appears to be under threat."

Thanks for the acknowledgement Adora. Village Admin eh. Sounds very important. :-)

Does anyone have a map of the exact planned route as I live off Mill Hill Hollow & I am very worried about how it will affect my property?

There is a link to a recent map on a certain other forum, but I'll repeat it here:

As a Poynton resident you should really be using that other forum, but guest posts aren't allowed so you would have to register.

yes people afected by the scheme would be contacted
if there property or land is needed
for the scheme
also poeple in the surrounding area should be contacted to say the scheme is on and where you can get futher details. there is usly exabitons to explane the scheme or on line documents. no new documents on line yet only documents people have put on line.
Also should be advertised in local paper

it will never happen as there are to many houses built on the proposed route !!

If you look at the route between the Woodford Roundabout and Simpson's corner, there are at most two houses that are so close that they might need to be demolished - plus the former sausage factory and adjacent buildings. There are houses within a hundred yards of the route, mainly in Hazel Grove, but these are not "on" the route, and if you think that this will be a factor in not going ahead, I suggest that you look at the M66 in Bury, which carves straight through the middle of a housing estate.

not through it as some plonker claimed

I think that I am the "plonker" you are referring to - assuming that you are talking about Adora's quote of my route description on another forum. The route would consume the northern part of the car park, and if it is to be in a cutting, the additional land required would consume the remainder of the car park. Unless this well-mannered poster knows better that is.
