At the forum meeting the other night - i discussed compenstion with a council representitive

All advice   is avaialable on the semms website

Bottom line

If you dont want to move sit tight - dont panic

there is a long way to go with this road

If you put your house on the market and cant sell it - it will be very hard to get the council
to buy it off you under the Blight ruling

In addtion it is very diffcult to quantify loss of valuation etc between now and the time when the road may or not be built

In the event that the road is built you also have to wait 12 months until after completion

last year i was advised to try for as much compenstion as you can in the event that it will be built

several solictors will act for you and all costs will not have to paid by yourself
