Other: Ted Nestor was Headmaster at St Peter's Primary School. He was in the real Great Escape. Please click on this link. Let's get a plaque at least for this man.

Not only was Ted Nester a War Hero but a fantastic head master and I also think that Hazel Grove should recognise his achievements.

Other: Still with 'The Bamboo' I remember when it first opened, the 2 lads from the bakers next door wasn't it? I met Helen Worth and her friend ??? with Graham Haberfield (Jerry Booth) of Coronation Street, early sixties,It was a jazz club then.
