Save the 394 Bus
27th February 2016 at 9:33AM
The 394 bus, which serves residents who need to get to Stepping Hill Hospital and surrounding areas, is potentially being scrapped Monday-Friday.

We have had many residents contact the Local Conservative Team and we have been in contact with Transport for Greater Manchester, Stockport Council, Derbyshire Council and High Peak Buses asking that they look very carefully at retaining this service as it crucial for so many in our community.

The 394 provides a vital lifeline to the most vulnerable in our community and seeing its services cut would have wide reaching consequences.

We have a petition set up by William Wragg MP, signing the petition will give William the chance to present this to all of the groups mentioned above to add further weight to everyone's cause.

The 394 Bus Service has been saved, but at a reduced level.

After the tender process Derbyshire County Council and Transport for Greater Manchester have agreed to provide a subsidised service. This will be a two hourly service, which though not ideal , is probably the best we could have expected. The service will only run Monday to Friday, the Saturday service being withdrawn.
