I have been told that parking on Arundel Avenue opposite the shops is to be restricted by double yellow lines. Does anyone know about this......

We certainly haven't seen anything come through Area Committee about this, as far as I can recall.

I will ask officers anyway and let you know.

Spoken to officers and there is a proposal due to come to our next Area Committee meeting in December - hence why I was not aware of it.

If you would like to email me on cllr.oliver.johnstone@stockport.gov.uk, I will email you a copy of the plans.

Yeah this needs putting into play ASAP. and it needs to go all the way around the postbox.

There is ample parking around the back of spar, I never understand why people would park on Arundel.

It seems the growth of the Spar shop over the years has meant the csr park overspills. Would there not be an option of utilising the car park round the back more? Never had this problem when it was a small shop with a Hardware and Laundrette next door and next door but one

It is many years since I lived right near these shops, it may be the case the the car park at the back is also full nowadays (it never used to be), just a thought

Try parking round the back when its school pickup time shock
Consider widening the road where the grass is and make more space.
Don't make it harder to use local shops, use them or lose them!

I thought there were yellow lines round to postbox its just ignorant people that still park there who cause problems!! People dont use there heads and park where it isnt going to cause a restriction to other road users

The grass verges are ruined with cars constantly parking on them.
