Never mind the Royal Oak, when are Holts going to start refurbishing the Fiveways?

I don't think that the Royal Oak is going to be a Mosque - when a Mosque is in the pipeline for going next to Witherspoons with parking allowed along the A6 outside.

Parking along the A6,, I dont believe it, this is why the royal oak is in the frame (own car park)

PMSL @ the above.

No need for a Tesco there and the footprint wouldn't support it anyway.

It's got flats or pull it down and start again written all over it. It's on the rough side of the A6 so id like to see the price on the 'property' before making a full assessment. That's the 'council' part of Hazel Grove so it has a ceiling. I'd rather opt for Offerton and not live on a busy road personally.

Re: Royal Oak footprint would not support a Tesco 'small unit' - not so - they have moved into smaller pubs than the R.OAK - as into pubs at Gatley and on A6 near McVitties also many other ex pubs. Tesco should move into the closed PC and trade as little public convenience shops
Then again it maybe two Mosques: one on R O site and one next to Witherspoons - then NO crossing
of the A6 would be involved. Park as you like would be allowed at both.

I had heard earlier this year that the mosque conversion to be carried out on the Royal Oak should be completed by the end of September. It is something that Hazel grove is lacking at the moment.

Yes indeed sam,I have even asked Holts but got no reply. Not been in though for over 12 months, so it may have started. Does anyone know?
