Poor old William Wragg

Earning £74,000 a year, with a potential to get a mortgage for £280,000 (4 times his salary, which isnt a great risk considering they used to do 7 times) poor old William has to live back with Mummy.
That's not including the fact he gets expenses and money for a flat near parliament.
And he says he has EMPATHY for us?
Do MPs live in the real world?

He has been an MP for 9 months - not wholly odd that he doesn't have the ready cash to fund a deposit and costs of furnishings on a desirable property in the constituency.

In fairness to him, he was asked about it on a regional current affairs programme and the media have pounced on it. It's not like he made a declaration in the national press.

There are quite a few apartments for sale circa £60,000 to £80,000 and houses for sale at around £120,000 in the heart of Hazel Grove.

Of course he can afford it, the only problem being the security of his job.

He might want to buy a house for the long term - somewhere to settle down, build a family.

Came to forum to post this story but it seems I was beaten to it.

Harry Enfields "Tory Boy" character back tied to the apron strings. Hope he isn't going for "bitty"

Sorry Oliver, although you come over as decent enough fella on here, your pompous, stuck up, slap faced colleague has a habit of getting right in my tits.

He is the everything that I see as wrong with your party, he is a jumped up supercilious t##t who reminds me so much of when William Hague did that speech as a kid to Tory party conference. Get me a bucket quick

Over £3,000 a month, living expenses, travel expenses, etc?

Cripes. Wouldn't mind a bit of that problem!

And the press pouncing on a Tory? Awwww! About time.

It's a party full of these guys.
You only need to Google George Osborne and David Cameron at the Bullingdon club to make your toes curl up at the posh boys gimping around some mansion.
Urg.

I'm gonna edit it so it looks like you've corrected something that was right.
Haha.

I'm a long standing member of Hazel Grove Conservative Club - not sure its got quite the den of debauchery the Bullingdon club is known for.

Beers cheap and the snooker tables are top notch though!
