HAZEL GROVE TOGETHER XMAS FESTIVAL
It Gives us great pleasure to announce That the Hazel Grove Christmas festival will be going ahead on the 12th of December 11am-7pm. Now with both an a Indoor and outdoor market the festival starting point is now The Grove public house, with stalls covering two floors, an outdoor festive food court, Santa’s Grotto, outdoor market stalls, Christmas Carollers, Tombola, fully licensed bar and Mulled wine. This re-arranged festival could not have happened without the outstanding effort of Stockport Council Licensing, Health and Safety, Environmental health, greenspace Departments, many very understanding stall holders, the countless amount of volunteers sacrificing hundreds of hours of their time and The Grove Public House. Sadly there will be no Santa’s Run this year, however, we trying to set a record for the most “Rocking Santa’s” at a Christmas festival – you can buy a Santa suit at the event or bring along your own. STALL HOLDERS: If we have not already been in touch we will be ASAP. We are so happy we can bring Hazel Grove Together. Let’s make this Happen!

Congratulations on re-organising this worthy event. Can't be there, sadly, but hope a good time is had by all! Tell everyone!

The wonders of farcebook!

At which "Grove Inn" is this to take place? The last time I passed there, all that was left was a skip.

The Grove is the establishment formerly known as Oscars, formerly known as Zuris.

That's quite a serious allegation to make.

When was it re-built?

Umpteen years ago. If I remember correctly, they applied for and were granted permission to extend the original building but decided to demolish it and rebuild from scratch instead, which, legally, isn't the same thing as "once it's gone' its gone". Permission was granted retrospectively some months later but is correct to say that it was "re-built" without permission.

I'm off out for not 1 curry but 2 curries this evening (can't say no to a curry and got 2 seperate invites, luckily 2.5 hours apart!) so I fear it may get cancelled again due to bad wind in the area? Especially after I've eaten a lamb suicide with keema rice at Purple Pakora!   cool
