If you all think the carnival was so bad then improve it! Get your kids school to do a float, your local pub, whatever charity you support, even your place of work. (its all advertising whichever way you look at it!) Theres no point complaining about something if you're not prepared to do something to improve it! By the way i think its on the 15th July this year so plenty of time to arrange it!

i do not think people realise what time effort and hard work it takes to organise a carnival parade and i would like to take my hat off to al the commitee involved.   at the end of the day you see queens from all areas attending, the community need to be more involved if they want a bigger parade. they rely on floats from pubs, schools and any organisations to take part and if there not willing there is not an awful lot they can do.. it is all funded by the commitee and the bands these days charge in the region of 300 - 500 pounds each. these people slatering the carnival year after year ought to think before speaking there is no need for all this criticism after all what do they do to help?????????

well.. i'd just like to say as part of Hazel Grove Carnival commitee, we are thoroughly dissappointed with the critisism on this site, I would just like to give you a little insight about what we have to do each year to raise the money for the carnival to actually go ahead, as all monies raised are by ourselves and the pubs that are willing to help. This year myself and a group of around 10 of us, did a 20 mile sposored walk in aid of Hazel Grove Carnival, we all got sponsored and raised money so that yourselves can watch the carnival. We have to fund everything ourselves, from little things like sashes to the expensive things like floats. Without people like yourselves actually helping out and gettin off ur bums and sponsoring the girls, or gettin locally community groups to help out there would be no carnival. We understand you may be disappointed with the lack of floats etc, but so are we, we are the ones who advertise all year to get pubs, clubs, radio stations, con clubs etc to get involved and every year it the same people that we see involved!

wouldnt you say its about to you stop critisising and start helping????
YOU are the ones who help put the carnival together!!!!!
