Chester Road Cobbles

Its not often that I praise SMBC, but on this occasion I feel a need. I must say how impressed I am that the younger generation can actually view echo's of Hazel Grove's great history. I don't know when the archaeological dig took place, but the exposure of the cobbles near Chester Road bridge is a master stroke. My twelve year old is fascinated when I tell him that all of Hazel Grove's roads once looked like this. He asks, in innocence, if all the other holes on Chester Road are archaeological digs? I tell him, no son, it is just bad management..........

Hi Blue Grover, I wonder how much of the £100.000 spend on pothole repairs around Stockport has been spent since the announcement was made many months ago by this 'do nothing council'. Do not confuse the council even more by calling the 'setts' as cobbles as they will not know what to look for and you may also misinform your son.

I wonder if the council are going to put better speed bumps down when the road gets resurfaced? Even at 10 mph the bumps almost remove the suspension from the vehicle.

It would be great if they did.

If the new speed bumps recently put down in Cheadle Hulme are anything to go by then I suspect you're going to be disappointed...
