Gloucester Floods Rating: 10/10
Review for Gloucester
By Gerry on 24th December 2008

Gloucester was badly hit in July 2007 by a flood that struck Gloucestershire and the surrounding area. Hundreds of homes were flooded, but the event was most memorable because of its wider impact - about 40,000 people were without power for 24 hours, and the entire city (plus surrounding areas) was without piped water for 10-14 days. Fortunately we haven't seen a repeat of these events in 2008 and hope that the new flood defences will solve the problem in the long term.
